The public institution Visaginas Hospital, with 188 beds, is located in dedicated, renovated premises. There are Departments of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics. In addition to them, the hospital has departments of Anesthesiology, Reanimatology, Hemodialysis, Diagnostics, Supportive Treatment and Nursing. The latest laparoscopic equipment is used for diagnosis and treatment of surgical and gynecological diseases. Gallbladder removal and appendectomy operations are performed using laparoscopes. Ovarian cysts and ectopic pregnancy are also operated here. Laparoscopic operations are also performed by traumatologists in cases of diseases and injuries of large joints.
