TOP 10 Highest Average Salaries in Lithuania in July 2026
3 weeks ago
In July 2026, the companies with the highest average salaries in Lithuania reported figures that certainly stand out. The company at the top of the ranking had an average gross salary of €50,850, the second-ranked company reached €41,157, while an average salary of more than €15,000 was required to make it into the TOP 10.
Employee turnover is another interesting indicator. In some of the TOP 10 companies, turnover was 0% in 2025, while in others it exceeded 50%. However, the percentage alone does not tell the full story – especially considering that some of the companies in the ranking employ only a handful of people.

What Do These Companies Do, and Why Are Their Average Salaries So High?
Looking at the TOP 10, one thing immediately stands out: there is no single dominant industry. The ranking brings together companies operating in energy, technology, finance, telecommunications, real estate, retail group management and other fields that often require highly qualified professionals.
Utilitas Wind, which ranks first, operates in the energy sector and is involved in wind energy development. WhiteBit operates in the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology sector.
Google Lithuania represents a different case – the Lithuanian company is part of a global technology corporation. DIDWW operates in telecommunications technology, Admirals in financial services, while SBA Urban is involved in real estate development.
This means that many of the businesses in the highest-salary ranking may have teams made up largely of highly qualified specialists, senior executives or employees with very specific expertise. This is fundamentally different from a company employing a broad mix of administrative staff, production workers, drivers, warehouse employees, customer service specialists and people working in many other occupations.
A Familiar Company Name Can Be Misleading
MAXIMA GRUPĖ is a good example. Its average salary of €41,157 could create a completely misleading impression if the figure were associated with jobs in Maxima supermarkets.
MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB describes itself as a financial and legal holding company. The company employs 20 people who consolidate and analyse the results of subsidiaries and coordinate cooperation between companies within the group. It is not the company that employs cashiers, shop-floor staff or warehouse teams working in Maxima stores in Lithuania.
Therefore, the July average of more than €41,000 cannot be used to estimate how much someone working in a Maxima supermarket earns.
A similar situation applies to MV GROUP. The specific legal entity MV GROUP, UAB included in the table had 4 employees in July, while the wider business group states on its careers page that it employs more than 1,000 people. Its careers page currently features vacancies for positions such as mechanical technician, sales consultant, accountant and others.
This means that a job advertisement carrying the MV GROUP name is not necessarily a vacancy at the specific four-employee legal entity whose €15,465 average salary appears in the table.
This distinction is particularly important for job seekers: it is worth checking not only the brand or business group, but also the exact legal entity that would employ you.
Where Are the Job Ads Offering Salaries of €15,000–€50,000?
This is where the biggest difference between salary statistics and the reality of the job market becomes clear.
A company's average salary is not the amount an employer is offering to a new employee. Public job advertisements will not necessarily feature monthly salaries of €20,000, €30,000 or €50,000, even if the company's monthly average is at that level.
For candidates, the most relevant figure is still the salary stated in the specific job advertisement. If a company's statistical average is €20,000 but the position you are interested in offers €3,500–€4,500, there is no reason to assume that your salary would automatically move closer to the company-wide average after joining.
Salary history can provide even more context. A sharp increase in one particular month and a consistently high salary throughout the year are two very different things. Before drawing conclusions, it is therefore worth comparing the figures from at least several previous months.
What Does Employee Turnover Tell Us?
Salary is only one side of the employer story. The table also shows another interesting indicator – employee turnover in 2025.
The differences are substantial. WhiteBit, RINA Baltic and MV GROUP recorded 0% employee turnover. Meanwhile, Admirals Europe Ltd Lithuanian Branch had a turnover rate of 60.5%, SBA Urban 50.9%, and MAXIMA GRUPĖ 34%.
Does this mean that the first three companies are excellent workplaces while those with the highest turnover have problems? No. Drawing such a conclusion from a single figure would be misleading.
The size of the team must be taken into account first. In a small team, just a few employee changes during the year can result in a very high turnover percentage.
Employee turnover should therefore be treated not as a verdict on an employer, but as an indicator worth investigating further. If a small company has high turnover, it is useful to check whether this was a one-off result or a pattern that has continued for several years. If employee turnover is high, it is also worth checking whether the same positions are advertised repeatedly and reading employee reviews about the company.
Before Applying, Look Beyond the Salary
If you come across a company in the TOP ranking that you have never heard of before, a high average salary can be a good reason to learn more about it. But your research should not end there.
First, it is worth looking at the company's salary history over at least several months to determine whether the high figure is typical or simply an exceptional result for a particular month. Then check the number of employees, changes in headcount and employee turnover.
The next step is job vacancies. Is the company currently hiring? What kind of specialists is it looking for? What salary does it offer? Is the employment contract being offered by the exact company shown in the table, or by another legal entity belonging to the same business group?
There is one more source of information that should not be overlooked: employee reviews. Salary statistics and data from Sodra cannot tell you what relationships with managers are like, what the actual workload is, what the team atmosphere is like, what career opportunities are available, or whether the employer's promises match the day-to-day reality of working there.
