TOP 20 COMPANIES WITH THE HIGHEST AVERAGE SALARIES IN AUGUST 2026
1 day ago
€37,454 per month before taxes – that was the average salary recorded by Microsoft Lietuva in August, placing the company first in Lithuania. MA Lithuania ranked second with €35,572, followed by Banginis with €26,816. Only companies with average salaries exceeding €11,800 made it into the TOP 20.
Just a month earlier, the top of the salary ranking looked very different. In July 2026 TOP 10 was led by Utilitas Wind, with an average salary of €50,850, while Microsoft Lietuva took the top spot in August.
But the most interesting findings go beyond the top positions. The TOP 20 includes both global technology companies and lesser-known Lithuanian businesses. Some employ more than 100 people, while others have just two employees. Employee turnover ranges from 0% to nearly 200%. What do these differences tell us about the companies paying the highest average salaries in Lithuania?

Which Industries Pay the Highest Salaries in Lithuania?
The technology sector has a strong presence in August's TOP 20. The list includes Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung, Palantir, Apple and SAP. Software and digital product developers MA Lithuania and Medical Score also rank highly.
However, the ranking also includes companies operating in investment, logistics, medical products and construction. For example, Merko statyba is involved in construction and real estate development, while Bioresus supplies aesthetic medicine products to international markets.
The companies also vary considerably in size. Merko statyba has 109 employees, Medical Score has 92, and MA Lithuania has 56. Meanwhile, more than half of the companies in the TOP 20 employ no more than 10 people. This is a notable feature of the ranking: alongside larger employers, some of the highest positions are held by very small, specialized teams.
What Drove Average Salaries Higher in August?
Microsoft Lietuva, which ranked first, recorded an average salary of €37,454 in August. One important reason behind this figure is the company's annual performance bonuses, which are paid during this month. As a result, August's figures reflect not only base salaries but also additional employee compensation.
An even more dramatic change can be seen at Banginis. In June, the average salary of employees who worked the full month was €3,129. In July, it was €2,995, before jumping to €26,816 in August. This increase pushed the company into third place in the TOP 20.
Significant fluctuations were also recorded at Palantir Technologies Lithuania. Its average salary reached €62,868 in June, fell to €10,765 in July and rose to €17,138 in August. By contrast, Apple Lithuania showed greater stability, with average salaries remaining between approximately €12,500 and €13,500 over the past three months.
Salary history therefore reveals something that a single monthly ranking cannot: which companies maintain consistently high average pay and which stand out because of an unusually large increase in a particular month.
What Salaries Do Companies Offer in Job Advertisements?
Job advertisements provide another perspective. They show which positions companies are currently recruiting for and what salaries they offer.
For example, Medical Score, which recorded an average salary of €21,474 in August, offers customer service specialists between €1,500 and €1,900 gross in publicly available job advertisements. Salaries for marketing and creative positions range from approximately €1,900 to €3,800 gross.
Merko statyba, which recorded an average salary of €11,900 in August, offers construction managers between €3,000 and €4,000 gross.
This comparison provides two different views of pay. Company salary statistics reflect compensation across the entire workforce, while job advertisements show what is being offered to candidates with specific skills or qualifications. Both are useful for job seekers.
Not all companies in the TOP 20 are currently recruiting actively in Lithuania. This is particularly relevant for smaller businesses: Beta via and SwiftHorizon have just two employees each, ProGear LT and SAP have four each, and Bioresus has five. In teams of this size, new vacancies may naturally arise less frequently.
High Salaries and Employee Turnover: Is There a Connection?
The August TOP 20 data does not show a clear relationship between high average salaries and low employee turnover. Among the highest-paying companies are businesses with almost no employee turnover, as well as those where turnover reaches several dozen or even more than 100%.
MA Lithuania, which ranked second with an average salary of €35,572 in August, recorded employee turnover of 49.8% in 2025. Banginis, in third place, had an even higher rate of 194.5%. Meanwhile, Oracle's branch, which ranked fifth, recorded turnover of just 5.6%.
A high turnover percentage does not necessarily mean that a large share of the workforce left the company at the same time. Company size is particularly important. Banginis employs eight people, SwiftHorizon, with a turnover rate of 80.4%, has just two, and TechPay Innovations, with turnover of 59.9%, employs six. In a small team, even a few employee changes can have a major impact on the percentage.
MA Lithuania presents a particularly interesting case because it has a larger workforce of 56 employees. Its employee turnover reached 49.8% in 2025, while its headcount declined from 74 in early May to 56 by the end of September 2026.
These figures show that even among companies with the highest average salaries, employee turnover varies considerably. Salary levels alone cannot explain why employees leave some companies more frequently than others. However, looking at salaries, employee turnover and workforce size together provides a much clearer picture of an employer.
What Else Should You Check Before Applying?
If a company in the ranking catches your attention as a potential employer, it is worth looking beyond a single month's average salary. Check how its salaries have changed over recent months, whether its workforce is growing, its employee turnover rate, employee reviews, and the salaries offered in specific job advertisements.
This and other salary reviews are based on the Lovejob.lt database, which is updated monthly using data published by Sodra, Lithuania's State Social Insurance Fund Board. Lovejob.lt also provides company salary histories, changes in employee numbers, employee turnover rates, job vacancies and employee reviews.
