TOP Employers with the Lowest Employee Turnover in Lithuania by Sector

When discussing employee turnover, attention is typically drawn to the highest figures—companies with the highest employee turnover rates. This is understandable, as such numbers spark curiosity, raise questions, and encourage discussions about the reasons behind high turnover and possible explanations. However, one group of employers often goes overlooked: companies with the lowest employee turnover.

At first glance, it may seem that a low employee turnover rate automatically means a company is an ideal employer. However, it is important to emphasize that low turnover does not necessarily indicate the absence of internal challenges, organizational issues, or an unhealthy workplace culture. In some cases, low turnover may be influenced by external factors, such as a smaller regional labour market, limited job opportunities, a niche business sector, or other circumstances.

Nevertheless, in many cases, a low employee turnover rate can be regarded as a positive indicator for prospective employees. It may reflect well-established internal processes, higher employee engagement and loyalty, stable financial performance, favourable working conditions, competitive compensation, or attractive employee benefits. For job seekers evaluating potential employers, employee turnover serves as an additional tool for assessing an organisation. However, every indicator—whether high or low—should always be interpreted within its broader context. To gain a more complete understanding, candidates are encouraged to discuss these figures during the recruitment process, as this can provide valuable insight into the organisation's culture, internal processes, and working environment.

Lovejob.lt, a platform providing comprehensive employer information and job opportunities, conducted an analysis of employee turnover across Lithuanian companies, focusing on organisations with the lowest employee turnover rates. The study covered 50 different industries, identifying the Top 3 employers in each sector with the lowest employee turnover rate in 2025.

It is important to note that the employee turnover rate is calculated using a standardised methodology based on data provided by SODRA (the Lithuanian State Social Insurance Fund Board). The comparison includes medium-sized and large organisations employing more than 100 people. An exception was made for Lithuania's unicorn companies, as not all of them currently employ more than 100 people.

What Should You Know When Assessing Employee Turnover?

Employee turnover is an important and meaningful indicator when evaluating an organisation, including its stability, workplace culture, internal processes, and working conditions. A low employee turnover rate can be viewed as a positive signal when comparing several organisations operating within the same sector and carrying out similar activities.

It is important to emphasise that employee turnover rates provide a more objective reflection of the internal situation in medium-sized and large organisations. In the case of small companies, these figures alone are not sufficient and must be interpreted within a broader context.

It would also be misleading to compare turnover rates across different sectors, as each industry has its own specific characteristics. These may be influenced by seasonality, employee qualifications, the nature of the work, working hours, competition, shortages of skilled professionals, the area of activity, and other factors.

It is also important to note that, in some cases, the turnover rate may appear higher in theory even though employees have not actually left the organisation, but have instead transferred to another company within the same corporate group.

In summary, the companies included in the list above are leaders in their respective sectors based on employee turnover rates and present a positive image as employers. Before choosing a potential employer, every employee should assess all possible risks, the company’s overall situation, working conditions, and reputation in the labour market. Employee turnover is one of the more reliable indicators when looking for a stable and long-term employment opportunity.
