"Vilniaus vandenys" is the largest water management company in Lithuania, whose shares are owned by Vilnius city municipality, Vilnius, Švenčioni and Šalčininkai district municipalities. The main management bodies of the company are the general meeting of shareholders, the company's Board is elected for four years during the general meeting of shareholders, the Audit Committee is formed and operating as an advisory body of the Board, and the head of the company - the general director - is appointed by the company's Board. The company has a license for drinking water supply and wastewater treatment granted by the State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT), and due to the specifics of its activities and the provision of strategically important public services, it is classified as a first-category group of companies important for ensuring national security and is a public interest company.
