Pieno tyrimai, JSC

The main activity of UAB "Pieno tyrimai" is the composition and quality of all milk sold in the country and the milk samples of dairy animals studied for breeding purposes, as well as the productivity of dairy animals. The company has been operating since 1993, and since 2019 July 1 UAB "Gyvulių produktivumos kontrolė" was connected to UAB "Pieno tyrimai" through reorganization. The founder of the company is the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania. UAB "Pieno tyrimai" Laboratorija is an impartial central laboratory of the country, which provides competent research services and performs verification and calibration. The laboratory conducts tests on the composition and quality of all milk sold in the country, aimed at settlement with milk producers, monitoring and control of milk raw materials, ensuring the needs of animal productivity, increasing the health of cattle herds, and maintaining a unified milk research system in the country. Since 2001 the company was accredited by the German Accreditation Service DAP, and since 2010 accreditation was granted by the National Accreditation Office.
