After the establishment of the Tax Police Department, its essential tasks were: to explain and investigate acts related to taxpayers' fraudulent and negligent accounting management, provision of incorrect data on income and profits, evasion of taxes and state social insurance contributions, failure to submit reports approved in the prescribed manner, illegal financial transactions and other crimes and violations related to taxes, finance and state social insurance. The Tax Police was tasked with investigating the abuse of office by tax administrators and employees of the state social insurance fund institutions, facts of exceeding the authority of the office, failure to fulfill duties and other violations related to taxes and state social insurance contributions.
