However, it is precisely this that symbolizes the two most important threads of Vilnius University's identity today, twisted as if in a DNA spiral - its passionate efforts to adapt to the needs and fashions of a fiercely changing world, and at the same time the tradition that has survived since its establishment. The first thread is the 17th century. representatives of technical and life sciences who replaced logicians (or grew out of them?).
