Varėna district is the largest in Lithuania, so a large group of employees (about 30 cultural and art workers) takes care of the cultural life of the district. Varėna Cultural Center (VKC) has 16 structural divisions and a craft center, where 25 cultural and art workers work. Since ancient times, the center's activities have been characterized by the uniqueness of events. In 2008, the renovated premises of the Varėna Cultural Center opened their doors to visitors. After moving to modern premises, the center's creative activities have become more active. Since then, much attention has been paid to organizing quality leisure for various groups of society and meeting the cultural needs of the community.
