UAB “SK Impeks Medical Diagnostic Center” was established in 1995, inspired by the most advanced private clinics in North America and Western Europe. In 2023, it was rebranded as Hila. The first Hila branch was opened in Vilnius, on V. Grybo Street, and it became the first private medical center in Lithuania to offer such a wide range of services. In 2023, two more branches were established—on Lvivo Street and Laisvės Avenue in Vilnius. The name Hila is derived from various ancient languages, where it is associated with kindness, light, and wisdom. In modern usage, the sound of the word closely resembles the English word heal. In medicine, hila (from Latin) also refers to a “gateway” where blood vessels and nerves connect—a point where life begins. Hila is one of the pioneers of private medicine in Lithuania. Its services are used by over 200 different healthcare institutions across the country. Hila also collaborates with both Lithuanian and international health and life insurance companies. Every year, more than 100,000 patients recover or strengthen their health at Hila centers—half of them become returning patients. At Hila, patients are examined, consulted, and treated by a team of over 330 doctors, specialists, and nurses. More than 2,200 different health services are offered, some of which are available exclusively at Hila in Lithuania.
