"Klaipėdos Smeltė" is a modern container terminal located in the frost-free port of Klaipėda and serving ships and cargo of the container shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and other shipping lines. in 2022 629,565 TEU (conditional containers) were transshipped at the terminal, including transshipment cargo destined for neighboring Baltic Sea countries. The largest container ship served by the terminal is the "MSC Ingy" with a capacity of 19,462 TEU and a length of 400 m. Klaipėdos Smeltė's controlling stake belongs to the MSC group company - the container terminal network Terminal Investment Limited Sarl (TIL).
