Žemkalnija AB was established in 1993 and remains a Lithuanian-owned company. During its first decade, the company provided sewing services for businesses in Lithuania and other EU countries. After starting its own production for the local market, it later began offering full-product manufacturing services to new partners from Scandinavia and other EU countries, ensuring stable growth. The sewing joint-stock company Žemkalnija specializes in the production of sporty and classic women’s and men’s trousers, producing over 2,000 units per week in Vilkaviškis, with around 500 different models made each year.
