KLAIPĖDOS "VIESULO" SPORTO CENTRAS, biudžetinė įstaiga

By the decision of the Klaipėda City Municipality Council, the Klaipėda “Viesulos” Sports Center, a joint venture, began its activities on October 1, 2001. The sports center currently cultivates 13 sports, employs 60 sports coaches who are experts and enthusiasts in their sports, actively cooperating with the city’s educational institutions in educating children and youth who play sports. The sports center carries out an educational training process, organizes local and international competitions, sports camps. Currently, more than 1,100 students play sports at the sports center. The sports center focuses on promoting the city of Klaipėda through the highest level of sports achievements. The athletes of the sports center constantly participate in competitions of various levels: city championships, international tournaments, European and world championships, and preparations are also underway to participate in the Olympic Games.
