"Tulpės" sanatorium is the first sanatorium located in Birštonas, with a long tradition of treatment with mineral water and healing mud. The mineral waters in Birštonas are used both for drinking and for therapeutic baths. "Tulpės" sanatorium uses highly mineralized bromide-chloride mineral water "Vaidilutė" for its therapeutic baths, with a mineralization of 32-35 g/l. This mineral water is special in that it contains a high amount of bromine. Resorts with bromine in their mineral waters are particularly valued all over the world. Baths with such mineral water stimulate physiological recovery mechanisms. They are especially effective in treating circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous, joint and gynecological diseases.
